The Gaian Mind online community is back with more advanced yet user-friendly features! After careful consideration we've decided to de-emphasize the typical "social network" features such as elaborate profiles, user messaging, etc. because people are already well established with accounts at various sites (e.g. Myspace). In order to not put our users through the headache of another online identity to develop and maintain, we've made our user profile set up very simple: you get a username, contact email, profile, pic and link to your Myspace page if you have one. The primary purpose of the new Gaian Mind site is to be a searchable store-house of art, research, writings, and documentations of eco-arts and education projects and activities. Users are encouraged to view and submit various types of content broken down into focused categories ranging from eco-art, to audio interviews, to research papers. Unlike most other online communties, this is more like a cyber-think tank/institute where we'll be developing cultural resources, solving problems, engaging in academic inquiry, doing case studies, documenting all types of phenomena. But we'll also have LOTS OF FUN by connecting, learning from each other, making friends, planning gatherings, collaborating on projects, and healing and growing together!!!
